Our Olive Oils

Oliva Bella olive oils come to you fresh, loaded with flavor and alive with hints of their native regions, soils and climates. Sourced directly from Italian families that Oliva Bella owner Lea Ann Vessels personally knows, each of the extra virgin olive oils carries the prestigious DOP certification. The mark indicates that the olive oils have gone through a meticulous quality process certifying the provenance and origin of the oil and only 20% of producers can boast the certification.

Oliva Bella olive oils are also made from single pressings of annual harvests from individual groves in Italy. Harvesting the olives by hand helps to ensure that the fruit is not bruised, which reduces the risk of oxidation. It also helps maintain a higher level of antioxidants and other healthful properties that are naturally found in olive oil.

Olio Rustico

This rich and full-bodied extra virgin olive oil offers an intensely fruity odor with a hint of herbs. Created in Sicily near the Southwestern city of Ragusa, Olio Rustico is unfiltered and vibrant green in color.

DOP-certified. Acidity: 0.30%

Food suggestions from Lea Ann: The olives used in this oil have flavor and aroma profiles that range from green tomato vines to red ripe tomato so Olio Rustico is great with anything tomato or high-acidity. Try adding it in your red sauce or bruschetta, soaking oven-dry sun gold tomatoes in the oil or drizzling it over a Caprese salad. It can also be slathered over steak that is just off the grill, or added to paella and various couscous dishes.

Olio Rustico
 

Olio Sardo

Olio Sardo combines Nera di Oliena with Bosana olives to produce this award-winning extra virgin olive oil. Created in Sardinia, both its flavor and aroma are intensely fruity followed by delicate spice.

DOP-certified. Acidity: 0.16%

Food suggestions from Lea Ann: This oil truly captures the sunshine of its origin. Try it with seafood or in dishes containing lemon. Itís also a nice way to finish steamed asparagus or steamed artichokes.

Olio Delicato

Olio Delicato offers a delicate herbal perfume and fruity taste with a touch of spice. Traditional and artisanal methods were used to harvest and press this extra virgin olive oil from the sun-drenched region of Puglia.

DOP-certified. Acidity: 0.16%

Food suggestions from Lea Ann: Although the first taste of this oil is soft and buttery, the olive flavor finishes on a strong note. As a result, it can easily overwhelm more delicate dishes. Try using it over white beans with rosemary or with a hearty fish such as tuna (either canned or barely cooked.) Itís also a good oil to use on big balls of mozzarella garnished with salt.
